André Nzokou
Dr. André Nzokou is a board-certified neurosurgeon and Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Surgery at the Université de Montréal. He practices at Hôpital Maisonneuve-Rosemont (HMR) and brings a wealth of international experience and specialization to his clinical work.
Dr. Nzokou began his medical training at the University of Yaoundé in Cameroon, followed by a four-year residency in General Surgery and an additional year in Neurosurgery at Hôpital Erasme in Brussels under Professor Brotchi. He then completed a Master of Science in Clinical Research and a full neurosurgery residency at the Université de Montréal.
He pursued dual fellowship training in spine surgery and pain surgery, with a focus on both open and minimally invasive spine procedures, as well as neuromodulation techniques for pain management.
Dr. Nzokou’s areas of surgical expertise include general neurosurgery, spine surgery, and pain surgery. He is also actively involved in clinical research in collaboration with the Centre hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal (CHUM), contributing to advancements in the field through evidence-based practice.
A strong example of resilience and dedication, Dr. Nzokou continues to be a passionate advocate for high-quality, compassionate care for patients with complex neurological and pain-related conditions.
